Welcome to Georgia Southern Scholars!

Office Hours Available: Need help updating your profile? Make an Appointment with the Digital Scholarship Librarian

On Monday, July 1st, 2024, the GS Libraries launched an all-new scholarly profile platform for Georgia Southern faculty called Georgia Southern Scholars. GS Scholars is a public, searchable database that highlights the scholarly and creative activities of Georgia Southern University faculty. GS Scholars advances collaboration, discovery, and innovation by connecting researchers across departments and colleges, with government and industry partners, and with researchers at other institutions.

All tenure-track faculty at Georgia Southern University have a scholarly profile in GS Scholars. All research-active non-tenure track faculty may request a profile if they want one. In addition, GS Scholars includes profiles for select emeriti, retired, and deceased faculty. All faculty are encouraged to update and enhance their profiles. GS Scholars replaces the GS Libraries' legacy SelectedWorks profiles, which were sunset on Wednesday, December 4th, 2024. For more information, see the SelectedWorks Profiles page.

In addition to hosting scholarly profiles, GS Scholars integrates with ORCID, Scopus, and SciVal, research tools offered by the GS Libraries. Scopus is a multidisciplinary abstract and citation database with comprehensive coverage of scientific, technical, medical and social sciences literature. SciVal provides access to the research performance of over 24,400 research institutions and their associated researchers from 234 nations worldwide. For more information, see the ORCID, Scopus & SciVal page.
