Unlike LinkedIn, ResearchGate, Google Scholar, and other third-party scholarly profiles, Georgia Southern Scholars integrates directly with powerful knowledge management and metrical tools like ORCID, Scopus, and SciVal. The Office of Research and Economic Development (ORED), colleges, and departments use these tools to advance collaboration, discovery, and innovation by connecting researchers across departments and colleges, with government and industry partners, and with researchers at other institutions.
In order to take full advantage of these resources, all research-active faculty and staff are encouraged to become familiar with these resources as well as update their information in each.
