Logging Into Your Profile

Office Hours Available: Need help updating your profile? Email digitalcommons@georgiasouthern.edu to schedule a one-on-one!

All tenure-track faculty at Georgia Southern University have a scholarly profile in GS Scholars. All research-active non-tenure track faculty may request a profile if you want one. Having trouble finding your profile or logging in? Contact the GS Commons Team at digitalcommons@georgiasouthern.edu.

Log into Your GS Scholars Profile

Follow these instructions to log into your profile. Please note:

  • If you experience difficulty using the Microsoft Sign In form, see here.
  • If you get an error while logging in off-campus, disconnect from any VPNs and either clear your browser cache or use an Incognito window.
  • If you have a personal Elsevier account associated with your Georgia Southern email, Elsevier will ask you to log into your personal account so that you can link both accounts. If so, you will need to enter the password for your personal account rather than your Georgia Southern password. If you do not remember your password, then go to ScienceDirect and reset your password there before returning to GS Scholars to log in.

  1. Click Log in to Pure in the footer of GS Scholars OR click Profile Login below the menu on any page of the Libraries’ Georgia Southern Scholars guide.
  2. Click Sign in to Pure.
  3. Look up and confirm Georgia Southern University as your institution (Do not select "Armstrong Campus" if it appears on the list).
  4. Sign in with your Georgia Southern email.
  5. Complete dual authentication.

You will now be redirected to your profile in GS Scholars. If you have any difficulty logging in, please contact the GS Commons Team at digitalcommons@georgiasouthern.edu.

Get Help if You Can't Find or Log into Your Profile (tenure-track faculty)

For tenure-track faculty, if you are unable to log into GS Scholars or you don't see your profile on the GS Scholars website, please contact the GS Commons Team at digitalcommons@georgiasouthern.edu.

The GS Commons Team requests updated faculty reports from the Division of Academic Affairs twice per year following the fall and spring add/drop periods. Profiles for new faculty may not become available until a few weeks after the fall and spring add/drop periods end. The GS Commons Team will contact new faculty as their profiles become available.

Request a Profile (non-tenure track faculty)

All research-active non-tenure track faculty may request a profile if you want one. To request a profile, please contact the Associate Deans of Research (ADR) for your college. The ADR will either create a profile for you or forward your request to the GS Commons Team. If you have any questions, please contact the GS Commons Team at digitalcommons@georgiasouthern.edu.

Request to Remove Your Profile

Any non-tenure track faculty member who does not want their profile to appear in GS Scholars should notify the GS Commons Team if their profile needs to be suppressed. Any tenure-track faculty member who does not want their profile to appear should contact their Associate Dean of Research (ADR). Any requests received from tenure-track faculty to suppress their profile will be forwarded to the appropriate ADR. If you have any questions, please contact the GS Commons Team at digitalcommons@georgiasouthern.edu.

For help, contact the GS Commons Team at digitalcommons@georgiasouthern.edu. A team member will respond as soon as possible during regular business hours.
