Georgia Southern Scholars highlights the scholarly and creative accomplishments of research-active Georgia Southern faculty and staff. GS Scholars connects researchers across departments, colleges, government agencies, industry partners, and institutions worldwide—fostering collaboration, discovery, and innovation. Take charge of your profile today!

Who Has a Profile?

  • All tenure-track faculty already have a GS Scholars profile.
  • Research-active non-tenure track faculty and staff may request one.
  • Select emeriti, retired, and deceased faculty are also included.

  • Integrated Tools: GS Scholars works seamlessly with Scopus and SciVal—research tools available through the GS Libraries. Scopus is a leading multidisciplinary citation database, while SciVal provides access to research performance data from more than 24,400 institutions worldwide.
  • Simple Profile Management: Import publications from Scopus, arXiv, ORCID, PubMed, SSRN, and other sources. You decide what to display and how it appears.

Affordable Learning Georgia – Call for Round 28 Proposals

 

Affordable Learning Georgia (ALG) is now accepting proposals for Round 28. Proposals are Due November 3, 2025. Please be sure to carefully review the Grant Proposal Forms, especially if you have received one of these grants in the past, because they have been updated with some changes in formatting and language requirements. 

Remember, Affordable Materials Grants are intended to:

  • Explore and expand the transformation of standard course materials to include the adoption, adaptation, and creation of open educational resources (OER); the adoption of materials available through GALILEO and USG libraries; and the use of other no-cost and low-cost materials.
  • Provide support and time to faculty, librarians, instructional designers, and other professional staff to meet, plan, review, and implement these approaches.
  • Work toward access for all, lowering materials costs for students and contributing to their retention, progression, and graduation.
