My name is Gabby Grant. I have created this display to bring awareness of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act known as Obamacare. As you can see, I have laid out the specifics of Obamacare that will become available to Americans beginning on January 1, 2014. It is important that citizens take note of this because at the beginning of the year, it will go into effect and have consequences for those who don't apply.
You can go to http://www.healthcare.gov and use the new Health Insurance Marketplace to see all of the health plans available in your area and sign up for the one that fits your needs and budget. You can also find out if you're eligible to pay less for private health insurance or whether you qualify for other free or low cost programs.
The Health Insurance Marketplace is designed to make buying health coverage easier and more affordable. Starting in 2014, the Marketplace will allow individuals and small businesses to compare health plans, get answers to questions, find out if they are eligible for tax credits for private insurance or health programs like the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), and enroll in a health plan that meets their needs.
