POW/MIA Recognition Day

In the United State, National POW/MIA Recognition Day is observed on the third Friday in September to honor those who were prisoners of war and those who are still missing in action. This guide is an overview honoring the POWs and MIAs during the Vietnam War in honor of the late Senator John McCain.

For more information, visit the official website for the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) whose mission it is to recover missing personnel who listed as Prisoner of War and/or Missing in Action.
