Assignment Instructions
For this assignment, you are asked to create an Infographic for the “Six Principles of IDEA” to help someone unfamiliar with Special education understand the rules and guidelines that guide this field. Your infographic should be informative, easy to interpret, and follow standard infographic rules.
Below are the requirements for this assignment. Please read below AND see the link to the rubric at the bottom of the page. That is how this assignment will be graded.
- Include all 6 Principles of Special Education and a summary description of each principle.
- Include at least two court cases supporting these principles and describe their key events.
- You are allowed to use any program or online infographic maker. Think of this project as a way to create an easily readable/understandable professional development handout for your peers. To avoid distractions, use very small font to cite information in the infographic. There are several tutorials on how to create infographics. Here is just one (https://venngage.com/blog/how-to-make-an-infographic-in-5-steps/). You can google it.
- For this assignment, you do not have to create a reference list.
- The court cases should be those discussed in the readings for this chapter.
- If you would like additional information, you can find it in other locations, but court cases that are not mentioned in the assigned reading are not key pieces of legislation nor landmark court cases and should not be used.
