  • Extended circulation of library materials: semester-long checkout (subject to recall after 21 days)

  • Dissertations and Theses:  Electronic Theses and Dissertations (ETDs) written by previous Georgia Southern graduate students  can be found in the University Libraries' circulating collections or the GS Institutional Repository, Digital Commons, from 1964-present. Click the ETDs page in this guide for more information on locating theses and dissertations elsewhere.   • Document Delivery for Distance Learners: students who take all of their classes online or off-campus and who live more than 30 miles from Statesboro may request books and articles be sent to them.

  • Faculty Authorizations: By filling out Faculty Authorization forms, faculty may give their graduate assistants permission to check out materials in their name. 

  • Graduate Study Rooms: In Henderson Library, four study rooms on the fourth floor and two on the third floor are reserved, for graduate students only, for up to four (4) hours in a 24-hour period.

  • Inter-Library Loan (ILL): borrow books, microfilm, DVDs, etc. from all types of libraries and also get electronic delivery of articles and chapters. You can also use GIL Express to request books from libraries at other USG institutions.

  • Presentation Practice Rooms: located in Henderson Library on the 1st floor, Room 1202A & B are intended for the rehearsal of presentations as opposed to individual or group study. The can be reserved for up to 4 hours.

  • Individual consultations with a research librarian.
