This was a great brain break for me and I’m glad the library has added this awesome place to go. ~ Student
This was very calming. Just what I needed on a stressful week. ~Student
I’m glad I made it to this session today I really enjoyed. We are always rushing around that we hardly pay attention to ourselves and needs to relax. Great spot I’ll be here everyday. ~ Student
While initially unsure of what the Brain Booth was going to look like when I first heard about it, I have to say I've been extremely impressed by this ongoing learning and stress-mitigation space at Henderson! It's simply fabulous and from what I've seen, it's extremely popular with students and GSU employees. ~Faculty

The Brain Booth started at Humboldt State University (HSU), Arcata, CA and in Fall 2021 arrived at the Georgia Southern University Libraries.
The Library Brain Booth seeks to introduce the Georgia Southern University community to international scientific research on the effects of mindfulness, attention, and contemplation through hands-on tools and activities in an experiential setting. Students are especially encouraged to explore the positive impacts that taking an intentional brain break can have on their academic success.
Although the Library Brain Booth recognizes the contributions of people of all faiths and backgrounds to mindfulness practices, it has no religious affiliation. People of all abilities, cultures, and faiths are welcome in the Library Brain Booth.
