My name is Mary (Micky) Foos. I am a freshman from Olathe, Kansas. I attended Olathe Soth for four years. I am currently majoring in Psychology and Criminology at Georgia Southern University. I enjoy playing volleyball, volunteering, and shopping. My favorite food is Taco bell. Some day I would like to be a profiler for the FBI and study behavior analysis.
I have this blog to not only get credit for my Digital Humanities class, but also for the purpose to explain what I have learned throughout this class and teach others about the different tools available through the digital world.
Through this course I have challenged myself and discovered that I am not as technologically challenged as I thought I was. This class was extremely difficult and a little confusing at first, but with some instructions and a little practice it became much easier. I have learned how to make a blog, imbed videos and other things in to my blog, make 3D prototypes, make a story map, and many other things I never would have known how to do without this class.
Aside from getting credit for a humanities course, this class can help you to discover how to do many things online that you didn't know how to do before. You will learn what digital humanities is and how the two correlate with each other, and will complete a variety of projects that will help expand your ability to do things with all different types of technology.
