Henderson Library features an audio content creation studio located on the second floor in room 2306A. This room's technology can facilitate projects for music, podcasts, and other content formats. For audio production software we offer Cubase LE 12 and Avid Pro Tools 22 as DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) options. Within those two DAWs are MIDI libraries featuring a wide array of sampled musical instruments, synthesizers, and percussion. The studio also offers VST (Virtual Studio Technology) plugins such as Steinberg Groove Agent 5, MPC Beats 2, and Halion Sonic 7 for more creative choices and sonic options.
The studio uses a Steinberg UR-12 two-channel audio interface that provides input for XLR connection as well as ¼” connection. A Rode PodMic cardioid microphone is available in the room for all manner of voice recording. This microphone is mounted on an adjustable boom stand with a pop-filter shield for best possible recording results. For musical performance and recording we have the Alesis V61 MIDI controller keyboard. With its MIDI parameter controls and 61 keys, it can facilitate a full keyboard performance or simply trigger sound effects from one of the studio’s MIDI sample libraries, making it a versatile asset for any content creator. M-Audio BX3 studio monitors and a pair of Sennheiser HD 400S headphones are also available in the studio for your listening and playback needs.
