Jaylee Kilgo (Spring’26) is a History major with a minor in Communications from Euharlee, Georgia. She plans on becoming a children’s book author and writing books about the history of the state of Georgia. Jaylee is the host of “The Peach Talk” on 91.9 WVGS “The Voice of Georgia Southern.” Also, Jaylee is the 2023-2024 Department of History Intern at GSU, as well as the Vice President of Inclusive Excellence for the Panhellenic Association.

Jahnyiah Davis (Spring 24’), is a history major from Perry, Georgia. She plans to pursue a career path in secondary education as a high school history teacher, back in her hometown. Jahnyiah is a student fellow in the Robert McNair scholars program, where she studied the history of African American medicine for three years. In addition, she pledged Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated.

Connor Gardiner ( Spring 2024) is a history major with a minor in political science from Macon, GA. He plans on pursuing a career in secondary education at either the middle school or high school level. Both his parents and maternal grandparents attended Georgia Southern.

Janely Lopez (Spring 25’) is a History major with a Management minor at Georgia Southern University. She is from Hilton Head Island, SC. She plans to attend law school in Fall of 2025 and pursue a career in criminal law. She is the President of the Swim Club at GSU. Janely was recently initiated into Phi Alpha Theta, the National History Honors Society.

Enzo Montero (Spring 2025) is a History major from Effingham County, GA. He plans to go
to graduate school and become a history professor of German/Dutch history.

Caitlin Willard (2025) is a History major with Religious Studies and Philosophy minors. She is hoping to pursue a career in high school to eventually college level history teaching. She has a focus in how different religions and philosophy influenced history and people’s lives.

Gary M. Randolph (Fall 24’) is a history major with a minor in political science from Augusta, GA. He plans on pursuing a career in public history and aspires to work in a museum or national park service. He currently holds the position of secretary in the Chi Septaton Chapter of Phi Sigma Kappa at Georgia Southern.

Charles Tumminello, originally from Hagerstown, PA, is an Interdisciplinary Studies major with a focus in history and construction management and a minor in management. Upon graduation, he will be commissioned by the Marine Corps. as an Aviation Officer. In the long term his plans are to move back to PA and take up a career in commercial aviation as a pilot.

Jeffery Mobley (Spring 25’) is a History Major and Political Science minor from Blackshear, GA. He plans to seek a career as a college history professor. Jeffery has made it on the president’s list for Georgia Southern University for both 2022 and 2023.

Addison Carter ( May 2025) is a Secondary-Education major with a concentration in history. She is from Savannah, GA and hopes is to return back home to teach middle and high school history. Addison has a passion for both history and teaching, so she hopes to be able to have that aspiration shine though as a future educator.

Andrea M. Raham (Spring 25') is a History major with a minor in Film Studies. She is from Connersville, IN. She plans to pursue a career in history at a military museum. She was the primary researcher and writer for the HMS Otranto.

Banks Carter (Spring 24’) is a History major and Military Science minor from Augusta, GA. Upon graduation he will be commissioned in the Georgia Army National Guard as an Ordnance Officer and plans to move back to Augusta to pursue a career as a construction project manager for his family’s business.

Victoria Turner (Spring ‘24) is a History major with double minors in English and Anthropology from Brooks, GA. She will begin her MA with a concentration in Public History in the Fall of ‘24. She plans to pursue a career in museum curation after completing her Masters. She was the primary researcher and writer for the page on the Spanish Flu in Georgia.

Ben Mincey is from Sylvania, GA. He is majoring in International Studies with a minor in Political Science. After college, Ben plans to work in politics with the goal of working in the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C.

Syd Rigdon (Spring '24) is a History major with an Anthropology minor from Glynn County, Georgia. Rigdon has served as the secretary of Phi Alpha Theta National History Honors Society from 2022-2023 and as president from 2023-2024. After graduation they will be pursuing a career in Cultural Resource Management.

Anastasia P. Lamb (Spring 26’) is a History and English major with an anthropology
minor from Senoia, GA. She plans to become a history professor with a focus on German
and U.S. Wars. As a simultaneous SGT in the U.S. Army Reserves, she has competed in
various writing competitions at Georgia Southern. She has published in the university Fledge and received a creative writing award and received honorable mentions in other competitions such as the Brannen Awards.

Emma Stevenson (Spring 26’) is a History major with a minor in International Studies from Lawrenceville, GA. She plans to pursue a museum career. She is a member of the Georgia Southern Southern Pride Colorguard and has always had an affinity for musical and performing arts.

Carter Norman (Summer 24’) is a Recreations and Tourism major with a minor in Religious Studies from Tifton, GA. He has accepted a job working in a camp management position, at Windy Gap in Ashville, NC starting in May 2024. Carter is a lover of disc golf and fly fishing.

is an active member of Phi Alpha Theta and is currently serving as the club's secretary. She
plans to pursue a legal profession post-graduation.

Mary Anna Saunders (Summer 25’) is a History major with a minor in Interdisciplinary Studies from Richmond Hill, GA. She plans to pursue a career as a World War I historian and work as a university professor.

Melissa Cuzzo (Spring ’24) is a History and Philosophy double major with a minor in
Anthropology from Fort Lauderdale, FL. Upon graduation, she will be pursuing a master’s
degree in history at Georgia Southern. Her goal is to obtain a J.D. to practice Environmental Law. Melissa is a member of the Honors College, serves as an Honors Ambassador, and is a member of Phi Alpha Theta and Phi Eta Sigma.
Contribution: Bulloch County during the First World War
Christopher Bernard (Spring ‘24) is a History major with a minor in Music and Theater. He is a
Bulloch County native, and graduate of Southeast Bulloch High School. He serves as the
President of the Zeta Omicron Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America. His
undergraduate research includes mostly African history and food history.

Alexandria Heitz (Spring 25’) is a History major with a minor in Anthropology from Grayson, GA. She hopes to pursue a career in history at the federal level.

Whitley Gatch (Fall ‘24) is an anthropology major with a minor in history from Bulloch County, GA. Her undergraduate career specialties have been conflict archaeology and military history. Specifically, she has been researching the memorialization of the American Civil War, although she found researching WWI soldiers from her home county to be a welcome break. She hopes to continue pursuing her love for both disciplines, ultimately planning to become a professor of conflict, war, and violence.

Randall Morgan (Rand) is a Secondary Education major with a focus in History from Statesboro, GA. He plans to pursue a career in teaching at the middle or high school level and coaching football and baseball. Rand has been involved in the local community through working with Bulloch County Recreation and Parks for 6 years.

Theodore Alberto (Spring '26) Is a double major in Art History and History, from Ft, Lauderdale, FL, who has since 2016 resided in Statesboro, GA. He plans to pursue a career in Art restoration, at a well-known gallery. He works as a student worker for the Office of Advising. He loves the connection between Art and History and wishes to highlight the bridge between them with his future aspirations.
