These varied careers can be in support of industries as diverse as product design and fabrication, power generation, climate control (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), transportation (vehicles and infrastructure), and systems control. ME professionals can attempt the challenging process to become licensed Professional Engineers. Mechanical Engineers are applied problem solvers, limited in their professional growth only by their personal motivation and ability. Responsibilities can range from those of an entry level designer to an R&D director, from a project engineer to plant manager, from a sales trainee to a regional manager.
