Ebook Central (ProQuest), formerly ebrary, offers authoritative ebooks in a wide range of subject areas, along with powerful tools to help you find, use, and manage the information you need.  Ebook Central holds books of all types from general topics to reference.

For those who previously had an ebrary account your login information will be the same for Ebook Central.  Also, if you used the Bookshelf option to save any searches and need to transfer the information, simply login, select the Bookshelf function and follow the steps provided.

Getting Started

First you need to decide if you will be reading your ebook online or offline.  You will need to prepare your computer and /or mobile device with the appropriate software. 

Ebook Central ebooks can be read using Bluefire Reader and Adobe Digital Editions for mobile devices, and Adobe Digital Editions on your computer.

Simple Steps to a Successful Search

Create an Account:   Before performing a search, make sure you have created an account with Ebook Central.  To create an account click on the sign in button in the top right corner, and then click on Join Ebook Central.

Search: On Ebook Central's homepage, use either a basic or advanced search.  Type in what you're looking for and then review the results list to select a book.

Download:   Select a book that you're interested in downloading.  When you've selected a book either begin downloading the book, or save it to your Bookshelf for later downloads.  When you download the book you will select the device you are going to use and then the length of time you want to borrow the book.  Then select 'Download Book'.  When you want to come back to your book, instead of downloading it right away, it will be found in your Bookshelf under 'Downloads and Loans'.

Print, Save, Email:  Using Ebook Central you will be able to print, save, email and cite.  You will also be able to print or email a selection of the book you are interested in.
