Submission Guidelines

Wraparound South accepts unsolicited submissions of poems, fiction, creative nonfiction, mixed genre works, and interviews that are previously unpublished literary works between August 1st through October 20th for our Fall/Winter issue, and between January 1st to March 20th for our Spring/Summer issue. We encourage reading our editor letter and earlier issues in our journal to get a feel for the type of work we publish. We will only consider work that has not been previously published either in print or online, unless we specifically solicit it.

Writers should limit submissions to 3 poems, one story, or one essay preferably under 7,000 words. Wraparound South also considers audio and video literature, art and photography, mixed genres, hybrid forms, graphic novelettes and all things innovative. Please only send one submission under each genre per reading period. Our response time is about 4 – 6 weeks.

We no longer accept email submissions.  We are now charging a nominal processing fee  per submissions in fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry and audio video/mixed media works.  The fee helps us to defray the cost of maintaining the website. We also hope to be able to pay our contributors in the near future. Interviews and book reviews as well as art and photography submissions will continue to be reviewed without a processing fee.
