Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery/GIL-Express: GIL Catalog Requests

Information on the Resource Sharing Services available through Georgia Southern University Libraries

What is a GIL Catalog Request?

A GIL Catalog Request is a request made for materials that are already owned by the University Libraries and available in our physical collection.

Who can use this service?

This service is available to faculty, emeritus faculty, staff, and currently enrolled students. During normal operating times, the library will pull items for you and hold them in the library for you to pick up.

How to Place a Request

Step 1.

Search for the title you wish to borrow in the GIL Catalog

Step 2.

Click on the title of the record you would like to borrow. This will open the full record for that item. Sign In to see the request option.

Step 3.

Login using your Georgia Southern credentials.

Step 4.

If more than one library holds the item, select one of the available options.

Click "Request" to place a request. Fill out your mailing address in the comments field.

Click "Request" again to complete your request.
