Early Modern Books at Georgia Southern

This website was created by the students of Dr. Batchelor's Spring 2020 Digital Humanities class for Special Collections at Georgia Southern University. 

This project was the final assignment for the class and it was chosen for two reasons. One, to provide exposure to the Special Collections Gallery at Georgia Southern (and the Early Modern Books selection in particular), because it is an underutilized resource. This page aims to ameliorate that and remedy the issue. Secondly, the challenge of scanning and uploading physical books and converting them into a usable format digitally is something that can best be done by students of the Digital Humanities.  

This project was finished during the COVID-19 pandemic in April and May 2020.
