Getting Started with DOIs in the IR

Test DOI Resolution

Once you have registered one or more DOIs with Crossref, be sure to test that they are resolving correctly. This is as simple as checking that the DOI URL resolves to the landing page you registered with the DOI. For example:

DOI: 10.20429/ijsotl.2016.100207
DOI URL: https://doi.org/10.20429/ijsotl.2016.100207
Landing Page: http://digitalcommons.georgiasouthern.edu/ij-sotl/vol10/iss2/7/

If the DOI URL resolves to the landing page, then the DOI is registered and configured correctly.

In Digital Commons, we test this by navigating to each article detail page and clicking on the DOI link that we have added to the record. The link should resolve to the same page. As an example, see this video:
