    • Board game check-outs are one week long with no renewals. Please return the board game by the due date.
  • Can I take the game from the library?
    • Yes! Once the game is checked out to you, you can take it anywhere.
  • I’d like to check out a game. How do I do that?
    • We’re happy you found one!
      • To check out a game located in our Browsing section, visit us at Henderson Library, locate the game you'd like, and bring it to us at the Circulation Desk. Browse the Board Games section of this guide for more information on all of our games at Henderson Library.
      • To check out a game located in our Automated Retrieval Collection, you will need to place a request through the library catalogue. To do this, go to the Board Games section of this guide, locate the game you'd like, and click the link. This will take you to the library catalogue. In the catalogue, you will need to sign in with your MyGeorgiaSouthern credentials to place a request. Above the call number, you should see a line of text that says “Request” or “Place Request.” Follow the prompts to request the game you’d like.
  • Do I have to place a request to check out a board game?
    • If the game is stored in our Browsing section, you do not have to place a request for it in the catalogue. However, if the game is stored in our Automated Retrieval Collections, you must place a request for the game though the catalogue. Follow the directions above to request a game, or contact us at the Circulation Desk with any questions.
  • Can I check out a game for my friend?
    • Library materials are only checked out to the patron currently visiting the library. If you are checking out materials for a professor, you must be a registered proxy for their library account. Contact us at the Circulation Desk with any questions.
  • I missed my due date! Do I have to pay a fine?
    • No worries! Henderson Library does not charge late fees or fines. As long as the game is returned in good condition, your account will be clear.
      • Note: library materials not returned will be marked as Lost, and replacement fees will be charged to the patron’s account. This fee must be paid before any more library materials can be checked out. Returning the item in good condition will result in the replacement fee being removed from the patron's account. For more information, contact the Circulation Desk.
  • The library doesn’t have the game I’m looking for. What are my options?
    • If the game you’re looking for isn’t at Henderson Library, try checking the catalogue of Lane Library, the library servicing Georgia Southern University’s Savannah campus. If the game is not at Lane Library, contact us at the Circulation Desk, and we can put you in touch with someone to whom you can submit a purchasing request.
  • I have more questions!
