Digital Humanities

In the ever-changing world where the lines between people and technology are always getting blurred, it'll take a new field of academics that is the creation of the brightest minds from the humanities and technology to help define the new and uncharted territory that society is now embracing.

The DH definition dilemma

Since the creation of Digital humanities is still so pretty recent with the its origins being traced back to the to the 1940s at the earliest, the definition for Digital Humanities is not as concrete as other fields of humanities like history or sociology.  However this doesn't stop experts with coming up with their own definition for this new field of academics.

Bare Bones Definition

According to the Wikipedia page, the site defines Digital Humanities as "an area of scholarly activity at the intersection of computing or digital technologies and the disciplines of the humanities" that  "makes new kinds of teaching and research possible, while at the same time studying and critiquing how these impact cultural heritage and digital culture."
