Get to know me!
Hey there, my name is Sean McCormick and I'm a junior Public Relations major from Cumming Georgia. I originally am from a suburb of Detroit, but moved to the greater Atlanta area while I was in 8th grade. I have always been interested in the fashion industry but know I didn't have the artistic ability to do any form of designing. Because of this I found my passion in PR. I am hoping to use my degree to run social media platforms for a fashion company, my dream company would be to work for Calvin Klein. Thanks to my amazing university as well as the program ISEP, I was able to fulfill my dreams and study abroad for the Fall 2016 semester in Milan Italy. This was a crazy amazing experience. I was able to go there and study Public Relations and Luxury Business which was so eye opening, and sneaking into a show or two during Women's Fashion Week wasn't too bad either. ;) I learned so much in my four months there and was able to make connections that will hopefully last a lifetime. It has given me a new appreciation for different cultures, people, and the fashion industry. Nothing compares to being able to see an Italian brand that has gone through every step of the creative process start to finish in Milan, debut itself. While this up coming year at Georgia Southern will be my last, I am thrilled to have to opportunity to learn as much as I can to better not only my work but myself as well.
