GEOG_5231/G Economic Geography: Library Resources

Course guide to help students in Economic Geography navigate library resources available to them

Working Through

When you have a narrow focus, it is often more beneficial to search specific journals that you know cover your topic. If you need more information/sources, then broaden the search to Subject Specific Databases. If you still find that you need more, then searching Discover and using it to lead you to those journals and databases that cover your topic, may prove helpful.

Remember that the journals/magazines and databases listed here are not an exhaustive list. Depending on your research topic, there may be others not listed here that would be more beneficial to you. If you need help locating journals/magazines or databases that might provide resources on your specific topic, please reach out to your library liaison

Search Discover

If you have no idea where to begin searching, you can always start with Discover. Remember that Discover is a Broad search. You will need to narrow your search using the filters available on the left side. The publication and database filters can help you determine which journals and databases will have resources on your topic.
