The CRAAP Test is a list of questions you can ask yourself in order to determine if the information on a web site is reliable and relevant to your topic. The brief video below (from Western Libraries) provides an overview of the CRAAP criteria. You may also use the worksheet as a rubric to guide your evaluation. Remember, you owe these websites nothing, so be BRUTAL in your evaluation!
The resources identified in this guide are not a comprehensive list of resources available to you through Zach Henderson Library and other libraries. If you need help identifying/finding sources on your topic, please contact your library liaison!
We all know there is a wealth of information available on the internet. However, it is important to be selective and evaluate the information you find online! Apply the CRAAP test with each website you visit, especially those you plan to use in your paper/project. Remember, if you have any doubt as to whether you can use an internet source in your project, check with your PROFESSOR!
Suggested Websites: As always, this is not an exclusive list, and it is not a topic specific list. The websites listed are broad topic sites on Geology/Geography.
