The HUB

A collection of search boxes and assets managed by the eTeam for your LibGuides.

This menu includes search forms that the library liaisons may add to their LibGuides. All forms are ADA compliant and, except for open-access resources, prompt off-campus users to authenticate. For each form, map either the box or the widget to your guide. If you want to add content above or below the form in the same box, then map the widget. For mapping instructions, see below:

These forms work only in preview or live view; they do not work in edit view. Also, these forms only work on Georgia Southern's LibGuides. If you need a form that you don't see here or if you need a form for another website, contact the eTeam at eteam@georgiasouthern.edu.

How to Map a Search Form Box

Mapping a search form box is the simplest way to add a search form to a guide; however, it is the least customizable. If you want to add content above or below the form in the same box, then map the widget instead. To map a search form box then customize the box name, follow these instructions:

1) On this guide, copy the title of the box that you want to map.

2) Next, on the guide where you want to map the box, click the Reuse Existing Box tab.

3) Select the guide that contains the box you want to map.

4) Paste in and select the name of the box that you want to map.

5) Click Save.

6) Next, to customize the name of the mapped box, click on the Edit this Box icon.

7) Edit the Box Name field.

8) Click Save.

How to Map a Search Form Widget

If you want to add content above or below a search form inside the same box, then map the search form widget into the box. To do so, follow these instructions:

1) On this guide, copy the title of the box that contains the widget you want to map.

2) Next, in the box where you want to map the widget, click Add / Reorder.

3) Click Media / Widget.

4) Next, click the Reuse Existing Widget tab.

5) Paste in and select the name of the widget that you want to map.

6) Click Save.

7) Next, use the Position dropdown to position the widget where you want it in the box.

8) Click Save.

You may now preview the box with the mapped widget:
