A New Discover Is Coming!

Overview

On Thursday, May 30th, GALILEO migrated all USG institutions, including Georgia Southern University, to a new Discover @ Georgia Southern user interface. The legacy Discover search is no longer available, and all links to the old interface now redirect to the new interface.

The new Discover @ Georgia Southern offers several enhancements, including:

  • A cleaner, more modern user interface
  • Easier access to filters within search results
  • Improved personalization features
  • Clearer language
  • Concept Map browse and search

All content, search functionality, and account features that you are accustomed to continue to be available in the new user interface.

As you begin to use the new Discover, please be aware of the following:

  • All links to the legacy Discover will redirect to the new Discover. You don't need to update any links.
  • The new Discover includes all the same resources as the legacy Discover. Nothing is going away.
  • The new Discover offers the same guest access on-campus. You can continue to use Discover on-campus without logging in.
  • Legacy MyEBSCOhost account folders will continue to be accessible using any EBSCOhost database (e.g., Academic Search Complete). Legacy folders should become available in the new Discover later this year or in early 2025.
