Solar Facilities in the United States

Track your energy!

Find a solar farm near you!

The map below shows a variety of pinpoints and data entries of different locations across the U.S. These farms are sponsored, paid for, or constructed by organizations, electrical/power companies, or environmental agencies. There are pinpoints in just about every state. To locate the closest one to you hover over the pinpoints and find out more information about a solar farm near you.

To keep track of the effort being put forth to enable solar energy into our lives today by the states we live in, we created a digital map that displays the location of solar farms across the U.S. All of these farms are sponsored and funded by power companies that bid on them through competition of the most cost effective plan. There are projects starting up every year for farms like this, to provide a suitable amount of energy for thousands of homes in that community!

These farms are part of the plan to integrate solar power into houses, much like there are power plants for generating electricity to your community. These farms are meant to function as a replacement, and to provide a more clean and efficient way of generating energy in to your home. While some states may not have made the switch over to large solar farm options, many have. This is a great way for states to begin to use less of fossil fuel energy and attempt to run various aspects within their borders with solar energy. This map will show you the latitude, longitude, the amount of Megawatts that make up the farm, and possibly a distinguishing feature of the farm itself.
