A New Edition

The 7th Edition of the APA Style Manual was published in October 2019.

American Psychological Association provides the 7th Ed. Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association and other material to students through publishing services like RedShelf which allow you to rent the new style guide as needed.

What is APA Style?

APA (American Psychology Association) Style originated in 1929 to help provide a foundation for effective scholarly communication. Now, with million of copies sold worldwide in multiple languages, it is the style manual of choice for many researchers, writers, and students.

 

APA Citation style is primarily used in the social and behavioral sciences, as well as some natural sciences; business and communications; and other fields.
