Request Physical Books from the Library

Books in the Georgia Southern Libraries collection can be sent directly to your home address.  To request an item, you must be logged in. The first button listed is REQUEST. Once you click on this link, you will be prompted to put your mailing address and phone number in the Comments section.  If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out and ask for help.

Research Guides

Research Guides can be used to locate recommended resources for your subject area.

Accessing Full-Text Articles

Always start at our homepage, using either Discover or accessing the A to Z Database list.  

Because of paywalls, you may not always be able to access the full text of an article you find.  Here are some steps you can follow to locate the article online.

1. Always check the Library's website by doing a search in Discover.

2. Do a Journal Title Search to see if we have online access.

3. Download the following extensions to Chrome:


Academic Success Center

The Academic Success Center (ASC) is available to continue providing their services for all students while in a virtual environment. The ASC offers student-centered services in tutoring, mentoring, testing, success coaching, consultations, and workshops.  These aforementioned services are there to assist you in being successful in all of your courses! WIFI Hot Spots

Several public libraries have WIFI hotspots available in their parking lots.  You can get the list at the Georgia Public Library Service website:  Please make sure to have your Georgia Southern University ID and follow social distancing protocols.
