Research Brief

You are researching factors and contexts that may affect the issue/policy (such as legal, fiscal, sociological, cultural, technological, political, and ethical).

After you have completed your research, you will need to summarize your findings in a three-page research brief. Your research brief should be single-spaced, twelve-point font, with one-inch margins.

  • A description of the policy and organization that implemented the policy. A description of the first institutional context element and how it affects the policy.
  • A description of the second institutional context element and how it affects the policy.
  • In-text citations for sources by the information from that source. In- text citations should list the author(s) name).
  • A list of sources used in the document. Each source in the list should include the author(s) name(s), the title of the source, year of publication, and link to the source (if applicable). The list does NOT count toward your page total.
